Size of Knowledge base

There is no limit to the size of the knowledgebase that is created, nor the number of questions that are matched to these answers. However, the average size of a knowledge base is 250-300 answers, which will typically answer 85% - 90% of questions for a single line of business such as Visa, Mortgage, TV, Phone, Student Aid, etc. IntelliResponse has customers with knowledge bases that contain in excess of 1,000 answers.

We like to say "let the questions drive the content".  While you could certainly envision many hundreds of distinct questions you COULD build into your knowledge base, we strongly encourage you to start with only the most popular questions and let your knowledge base grow organically from that point (through the focus group and post-launch optimization process). This will save you considerable time and effort building and maintaining content which users rarely (or never) ask about!
