My best answer:

IntelliResponse answers can be available through a public or secure site.

If on a public site, clients have the option to post a question box that links to an answer page hosted by IntelliResponse or consume our APIs.  Similarly for a secure website, the client has the same options, but could include the secure login before the IntelliResponse interaction.

If on a secure website, though both are secure, web services ensures that the customer remains in same secure environment they?ve signed into, even though no secure data is passed to IntelliResponse.
